Why barefoot and loved?

Because that is me in a nutshell. And it's scriptural.

BAREFOOT... I do not like shoes - never have and probably never will. I mean, what can be better than feeling the cool grass under your feet on a warm summer evening - or crunchy leaves that have fallen in my back yard around this time of year. And the best thing... sand at the beach. Mmmm, there's nothin' better than that!

It's how my Father made me so no one can really argue with that. My mom didn't know how she felt about it when I told her I was going to get married with bare feet, but then she couldn't say a whole lot when I shared with her my heart about it.

In Exodus 3:5 God tells Moses to take off his sandals, for he was standing on Holy Ground. Isn't that the "ground" that all marriages should be based on? And again in Joshua 5:15, The commander of the Lord's army said, "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy." And Joshua did so.

and LOVED... We are all so deeply loved. I am reminded of that so often - in the beauty around us all, and in the knowledge that God created it all for us! For me and for you - and oh how we are loved well! In Psalm 45:11 the writer reminds me that "The King is enthralled with my beauty" - not because I am that beautiful, but only because He loves THAT WELL! He loves me perfectly.

Wow, that takes a lot of pressure off, doesn't it? I don't have to be perfect to attain His love, no matter what, He loves me, perfectly. And that, will send me into a peaceful sleep tonight.

All of me for only Him,
Sharon
